HACCP is a management system that addresses food safety through the control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards of raw material production. Our food safety team analyzes the process and flow to identify critical control points from which standard operating procedures are put into place that nullify the likelihood of potential hazards.
Principles and processes applied during growing that enhance the overall product.
Our Growing Medium
Our Microgreens grow in a biodegradable, plant-based fibrous material that is beneficial to chefs in two ways.
Keeps their kitchens free of dirt and soil.
Increases shelf life = fresh out of the kitchen = happy customer = happy chef.
Biological Crop Protection
We control pests and plant diseases with the introduction of other organisms limiting our use of pesticides to nearly none. In short, we release beneficial insects in our greenhouse that are the natural predator of a parasite. And you thought organic was the best thing out there? ;-)
Sun: Nothing can compete with natural sunlight. It makes strong, healthy plants and intensifies their flavors.
LED: In the winter, days are short so we extend the day using our top of the line Red LED light.
Engineering steps by which raw materials are modified and transformed into the final product.
